Two months ago i bought a razer headset, and unfortunately the cable broke resulting in no audio in the left ear. I got a refund and decided to go for another brand. Since I had read good reviews about the corsair HS70 and it only cost another 10 euro I gave it a go. The sound quality was pretty good and then it hit me, can i use the HS70 with my android phone?
So i started digging through my cable and adaptor drawer to see if i have anything that would allow me to connect the dongle to the phone. Low and behold I had a female USB to USB C adaptor that worked like a charm. I connected the Corsair dongle and boom. It worked like a charm.
I managed to use the microphone on a call and listen to audio. The only thing that does not work is the 7.1 Surround and thats understandable as it utilises windows spacial sound.
So to sum it up, if you want to use these headphones on your phone and gaming console or pc, as long as your phone has OTG you should be ok.
I have tested it with my Samsung Galaxy S8+ and S9+ both worked very well.
I have also written a full review on the Corsair HS70, make sure you check it out.

Hi John, sorry for my late reply I dont get to messages instantaneously so I didnt see this until today. As far as I can find online the Motorola G does support OTG but you might need to enable it in a setting. I don’t have that phone so I cannot test this. I think you are best off returning the headset and buying one for your purpose. Its not convenient to have the Dongle stick out of your phone either. I hope you get to solve your issue. Best Regards

Thanks, Romie. The manufacturer already has HS70 BT model, FYI.
Though for wireless gaming as primary purpose HS70 PRO should still be better. But if it suddenly works via USB OTG it’s really cool. I don’t mean mobile devices only. Guees it could be a smart TV?
Hi Dmitry, great point I haven’t seen the BT model definitely worth looking into as I love the headset and the additional dongle sticking out of the phone is a little annoying. I tried this with my Sony Android TV and my LG Tv and neither of them worked with the headphones. I couldn’t find if either models had OTG. BT would be a great way.
