How to get the Best Sound Quality when using Backing Tracks

Step Seven, adding Instruments. If you are adding an instrument to the Mix such as an Acoustic or Electric Guitar things get a little more complicated depending on the instrument. The general tips here are:

  • Fine tune your instrument sound with the backing track not by itself as frequency masking will change the sound when playing with the backing track.
  • If you are using pedals and effects on your Instrument, then create and tune those effects at high volumes as it will change at gig volumes.
  • Listen to the volumes, your instrument should be clearly heard but not overpower the backing track. Balance is key.

I hope I helped you with your backing track sound and your next performance will rock your crowds socks off. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to leave a comment, I will answer it as soon as I can.
